Event Overview
We often talk about the Irish harp tradition, how it changed over time, and its distinctive features. But I think we can understand the tradition differently if we think about the wider context. In this talk I will use ideas of colonialism and social class to think about who was playing the harp, who was listening, who was paying for it, and how these ideas can frame what we are doing now.
