Concert tickets

Concert tickets are available on this website, and also at the ticket desk before each concert begins. Tickets bought on this website give in-person access to the concerts at The Parade Tower, Kilkenny Castle. The same tickets also give online access to a video of the concert after it has taken place, until 29 December 2024. N.B. Concerts will not be live-streamed.

  • €18 - Adult
  • €12 - Student / Unwaged
  • €36 - Family tickets (two adults + children free entry) available at the venue

All-Access tickets

Take part in all live festival events, 26-31 July 2024, either online or in person. Then enjoy five additional months’ access to recordings of all sessions and concerts. Download copious amounts of sheet music and handouts — available in advance — for each session.

  • €195 - Student / Unwaged
  • €390 - Early-bird Offer (until 21 June)
  • €490 - Adult (after 21 June) N.B. No live-event access for bookings after 26 July.

If you are not in a position to buy an All-Access ticket online, please contact us for details on other ways we can facilitate your ticket purchase. If you are younger than 18, please also contact us before you purchase a ticket, as your parent or guardian will need to fill out an additional form in advance.

What does an All-Access ticket get me?

When you buy your ticket, you are initiating the setting up of your own personal festival account through which you can access festival events, and event recordings, online. If you are joining us in Kilkenny, your account will allow you to download the event handouts in advance, and to access the post-festival recordings until 29 December 2024.

All-Access ticket holders can participate — online or in-person — in 49 live workshops, talks, interviews, hands-on players’ sessions, and tea-breaks, taking place 26–31 July. In-person participants can book an additional, field-trip option to travel to Dublin on 1 August to see surviving historic Irish harps.

Four hands-on player sessions take place simultaneously each day, tailored to different levels of prior experience. Attend one of these, in real time. Since all events are recorded, you then have five months to catch up on all the others so there’s no danger of missing out on anything! Recordings of the two festival concerts will be available as soon as possible after they take place.

Keep attending for a further five months!

Enjoy access to recordings of all live events for FIVE months, post-festival — early August until 29 December, 2024 — allowing you to listen back, study, revise and learn at your leisure, and at your own pace. N.B. If you do not wish to be seen or heard in these, you will need to turn off your video and mute your microphone when participating. Your ticket purchase confirms your agreement to this.

Avail of one-to-one coaching

You can book additional one-to-one coaching (virtual or in Kilkenny) with festival artists. Book as few or as many sessions as you like with whichever tutor/s you choose, who have availability. This is also a perfect opportunity to have a trial coaching session if you are looking to have more regular in-person or online tuition but are not sure who might suit you best. Click on ‘One-to-One Coaching’ in the navigation bar for more information, and contact tutors directly to sort out the logistics. N.B. The cost of these sessions is not covered by your All-Access ticket; coaching fees are payable in advance to the tutor concerned.

Festival event times

We use Irish summer time: GMT+1 = American EDT+5 = European CET-1
For example: 14:00 (2:00 p.m.) Irish time is 9:00 a.m. that day on the US east coast, and is 15:00 that afternoon in continental Europe.

Necessary hardware and software

To participate virtually you will need:

  • a laptop, desktop or tablet computer. We do not recommend using a phone to participate.
  • speakers or headphones
  • a stable, broadband internet connection
  • access to a printer to make hard copies of downloadable session PDF materials

Further information to help you get set up for participating virtually in the festival will be sent after you have booked your All-Access ticket.
