Event Overview
DUBLIN FIELD TRIP — VISITING HISTORIC HARPS
In-person festival goers can add this extra option (€60 inc. all travel, entry tickets and guided tour) to their All-Access ticket. Our annual field trip to examine historic Irish harps in Dublin takes place by private tour bus from Kilkenny to Dublin and back. You will be shown, at close hand, instruments that are not on display to the public. This rare opportunity is guided by experts in the field, Dr Karen Loomis, and Simon Chadwick. Return festival goers always look forward to this fun, social trip to Dublin and back (you can remain in Dublin at the end if that suits your onward travel plans better), and enjoy a rare opportunity to examine, discuss, and ask questions about the surviving old Irish harps seen on the trip.
