Event Overview

Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the world’s most significant collection of surviving historical Irish harps. Led by two pre-eminent experts, Dr. Karen Loomis and Simon Chadwick, you will enjoy a rare viewing, and be able to interact, and ask questions live, as we explore several important harps from centuries past, including the museum’s Carolan harp, the enigmatic fragments of the Cloyne harp, the magnificent Fitzgerald-Kildare harp, the recently researched Hollybrook harp, the iconic Sirr harp, and more. These harps are never on display to the public, so this is a unique chance to see the instruments on which Ireland’s historic harp music was played, from the comfort of your own home, wherever in the world you may be!

Post festival access: this event recording is available to ‘Early-Bird All Access’ and ‘All Access’ ticket holders until 29 December 2021.
